Our Story

LAUTECH INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE, a Secondary School founded by Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso was established on October 20, 2003 under the initiative of former vice-chancellor of the university, Late prof. A.M. Salau. The school was established to cater for the educational needs of the children and wards of the LAUTECH staff members and other non- staff parents/guardians who found it difficult to secure good secondary school nearby their wards.

The academic activities of the college commenced under the principalship of Late Alhaji R.A Buhari, the pioneer principal of the college. The goals of the college are being pursued vigorously by the past and present chairman of governing board such as prof G.O Faminu, Late prof J.I. Olaifa , Late prof J.O. Ojediran, Prof E.T. Otunola, Prof Adebayo O, Prof G.O. Oyediran, Prof K.A Adebiyi, Prof. Adewale and Prof. Laisu, All these university dons worked timelessly to ensure that the vision and mission of the college are sustained.

The college recorded 96.6% in JSCE NECO and 100% in Oyo State JSCE

In the Inter-Schools quiz competition organized by Best Legacy International High School, Ogbomoso on the March 1, 2006, the representative of the college Adeniran Damilola and Abdullahi Idris placed first.

The maiden Inter-house Athletic completion of the college held on February 15, 2006.

The College won at both local and zonal levels during 2006 Science Teacher Association of Nigeria (STAN) competition. The College later represented Ogbomoso zone at the state level.

The College came first and represented ogbomoso zone at the level during Conference of Secondary schools Muslim students quiz competition (Junior category) in 2007

The College got first position at 2007 Mathematics Association of Nigeria Olympiad competition in Ogbomoso North Local Government Bronze medalist at 2009 principals’ cup competitions held in Ogbomoso Local Government.

The two student of the college emerged as winners and later represented Ogbomoso zone at state level during 2008 Maltina Reading competition

The College came first in the quiz competition organized by the National Union of Engineering Students Association (NUESA) LAUTECH Branch and Association of Muslim Corpers Ogbomoso Branch in 2009.

Two of our students. Fehintola Samuel and Odekunle Martins qualified and represented the ogbomoso zone at the level 2010 Falilat Ogunkoya Athletics Championship.

The college came third in both quiz and project competitions organized by international school, Ibadan on March 16,2010.

The college got 2nd Position in 2011 Mathematics Olympiad competition organized at Ogbomoso North local Government.

2009 STAN competition- Olapade Taiwo came Third at the state level category.

The college came first at Dr. Ademola Aremu Inter-secondary quiz competition held on March 13, 2012 at College of Health Sciences, LAUTECH.

2012 Olympiad Mathematics competition, the college got first position out of the five local government of ogbomoso. May 6, 2012 –the college emerged first position in inter-quiz competition organized to mark Ogbomoso Grammar School JETS weeks.

2013- A representative of the college, Adelasoye Mayowa came first 2013 NNPC competition in Oyo North Senatorial district and 2nd position at the state level. He was part of the team that represented the state at the NNPC South-West competition held on july 8, 2013.

2014 STAN competition- Akanmu Haleemat came fourth in the zonal quiz competition on March 13, 2014 and henceforth qualified for the second round of the competition.

In 2009 Shevron Fine Art Competition – Ogunkunle Yetunde bagged 27th position at the grand finale of competition held in Abuja. Over 200 students participated through out Nigeria.
